SOP #53 — "Don't touch it for 90 days after buying" is wrong
Myth: freeze the site post-purchase to avoid breaking rankings. Correction: passive holding lets fixable problems compound — you act on infrastructure immediately, content cautiously. Run the 30-day plan:
1. Day 1: migrate hosting/analytics to your stack, confirm zero downtime and tracking — infrastructure changes are safe.
2. Day 1–3: re-point affiliate/ad accounts to your IDs and verify revenue is flowing to you, not the seller.
3. Day 1–7: set up monitoring (uptime, rank tracker baseline, backup) — you can't fix what you don't watch.
4. Day 7–30: don't mass-edit content or change URL structure — that's the real ranking risk.
5. Day 30: review baseline vs current, then plan content changes from data.
Freeze the content, not the operations. The myth confuses the two.
Save this — run it every deal.
