<b>Q: How many products should I tag in one shoppable post — more tags, more sales?</b>
A: No. More tags usually means fewer sales per tag. Product tags (clickable item labels pinned to a photo or video) split attention, and a shopper who has to choose between eight items often chooses none. One clear hero product with a single tag almost always beats a cluttered carousel of ten.
The exception is a genuine 'shop the look' or bundle post, where the items belong together and the tags tell a story. Even then, keep it to three or four and make one the obvious star.
Also worth knowing: platforms weight engagement, and a post people actually tap converts better in the algorithm too. So a focused tag isn't just cleaner — it gets shown to more people.
