Spotted: "AI caption writer" quietly became table stakes
A year ago it was a premium add-on with its own line item. Now every tool bundles it because the underlying model API costs pennies — so charging extra for captions looks greedy. The differentiation moved to brand-voice training and approval guardrails, not the generation itself.
Why it matters: if a vendor is still gating basic AI captions behind a higher tier, that's a tell about their pricing confidence. The ones winning give it away and charge for the workflow around it.
