The Revision Clock: stop scope creep before it starts
Most UGC contracts say "2 rounds of revisions" and leave "round" undefined. That's where 4 hours of free re-edits hide. Standardize the definition in your brief.
A round = one consolidated feedback document, delivered once, within the review window.
— One round = one document. Three Slack messages = still one round only if sent before you start.
— Feedback after you've started edits = a new round.
— New script ideas, added scenes, or platform changes = not a revision, it's a new deliverable. Quote it.
— Review window: 48h. No feedback in 48h = approved, invoice sent.
Paste this clause into every brief and contract. Rinse and repeat. The clock does the negotiating so you don't have to.
