How to upload a company list for account targeting
New to list targeting? You can upload a list of companies you want to reach (this is account-based marketing, or ABM, targeting named companies instead of broad roles). Do it cleanly:
— Download LinkedIn's template spreadsheet first (don't freestyle the format)
— Fill the company name AND website columns for better matching
— Aim for at least 300 companies so the audience is usable
— Go to Plan, then Audiences, then upload under 'Company'
— Wait up to 48 hours for LinkedIn to match your list
— Expect a 60-70% match rate, that's normal, not a failure
Why it matters: matching to companies you already want is far more efficient than guessing by industry.
