Purpose: switch platforms or restructure routing while keeping attribution intact.

☐ Step 1 — Stand up the new smartlink in parallel. Don't touch the live one yet.
☐ Step 2 — Replicate every geo, device, and cap rule, then click-test each tier before any traffic moves.
☐ Step 3 — Mirror 5% of live traffic to the new link and compare EPC for 48h. Match means rules are correct.
☐ Step 4 — Confirm postbacks fire on the new link with a real conversion before scaling.
☐ Step 5 — Move traffic in 25% steps, watching fallback-rate and EPC at each step.
☐ Step 6 — Keep the old link live and pointed for 7 days; in-flight conversions still postback to it.

Never cut over 100% in one move. Run both links in parallel until the new one's numbers match.
