<b>Q:</b> A SaaS offer pays on free trial signup, another pays only on a paid purchase. Which is better to promote?

A: Free-trial (or freemium) offers convert far more often because the user risks nothing — great for colder traffic and easier to drive volume. The catch: payouts are lower, and some advertisers add a 'must stay X days' or 'must convert to paid' clause that quietly slashes your approval rate.

Straight-sale offers pay more per conversion but need warmer, higher-intent traffic and a stronger pre-sell. Wrong traffic = near-zero conversions.

Check the conversion clause first. A 'pays on trial' offer that secretly requires retention isn't really a trial offer.

Short version: trials convert easier on cold traffic, sales pay more on warm traffic — read the retention clause.
