The pattern keeps repeating — a tool launches generous "unlimited" connections, then a platform hikes its API tier and suddenly there's a per-profile fee. The vendor ate the cost to win you, then passed it through once you were locked in.
Why it matters to you: the day a platform changes API pricing, your tool's unit economics change too. If a vendor offers truly unlimited social accounts on a cheap plan, ask <i>who's paying the API bill</i> — because it isn't free upstream.
