Caught this auditing my own grid. Half my on-screen hooks were sitting where the caption, profile, and buttons cover them on a real phone.
Viewers literally couldn't read the hook on the first pass. The hook was fine, the placement killed it.
Moved all hook text into the top third, clear of every UI element. Sec-2 retention nudged up on 4 tests.
