Myth: More offers in the rotation always means more revenue
The claim: stuff every offer into the smartlink so the engine "finds" the best one.
The correction: rotation needs traffic per arm to learn. With 20 offers and 1,000 clicks, each arm sees ~50 clicks — too few to rank reliably.
SOP to right-size a rotation:
— Step 1: Count daily clicks for the geo/device segment.
— Step 2: Divide by 200 (minimum clicks to judge one offer). That's your max offer count.
— Step 3: Cap the rotation at that number. Park the rest as fallback.
— Step 4: Promote a parked offer only when you retire a live one.
Check:
☐ No arm gets under 200 clicks/week
☐ Parked offers documented with promote-criteria
Repeat the count weekly — traffic shifts move the ceiling.
