Myth: bigger account = better reach rate
Reach rate is inversely correlated with size. n=900 accounts, 30-day window.
— 1k-10k: ████████ 21.6%
— 10k-100k: ████ 11.2%
— 100k-1M: ██ 6.4%
— 1M+: █ 3.1%
Correlation of size vs reach rate: -0.58. Absolute reach grows; the percentage shrinks because non-follower discovery can't scale linearly with base size. So what: a 5k account at 21% often shows the same content to more of its people than a 200k account at 6%.
