Myth: "Batch all your content in one giant shoot day to be efficient."

Mega-batching looks efficient and produces a backlog of stale, unbriefed clips you re-shoot anyway. Efficiency comes from a repeatable cadence, not one heroic day.

The Cadence Batching SOP:

— Batch by setup, not by volume: group clips that share lighting, wardrobe, and location.
— Cap a session at what you can edit within 5 days, so nothing rots in the backlog.
— Brief every clip individually even inside a batch; one shared brief breeds generic output.
— Log each clip's hook and angle as you shoot for fast retrieval later.

Save this. Standardize the setup, keep the batch small enough to ship, and rinse and repeat weekly.
