Today: desktop push and mobile push behave differently
Same ad, two very different worlds. Worth knowing before you blame a campaign.
On mobile, the notification is small, often just icon plus a line of text, and the person is usually mid-task. Taps are quick and a bit impulsive.
On desktop, notifications can show the big banner image and the person is often working at a screen with more patience. Different mood, different click.
So a creative that sings on desktop can flop on mobile, and the reverse happens too. Mixing both in one campaign hides which one is actually carrying you.
Safe beginner move: split desktop and mobile into separate campaigns from day one. Cleaner data, clearer decisions.
Try this: in your targeting, find the "device" or "platform" filter and notice you can pick desktop only or mobile only. That single split will sharpen everything. Nicely spotted.
