We tracked referral clicks from 400 live placements, split by how the donor was qualified (n=400).

— High-DR, low-traffic donors: median 3 referral visits/month
— Mid-DR, high-traffic donors: median 41 referral visits/month

DR measures the donor's own backlink count; it says nothing about whether real humans visit the page you sit on. A DR-78 domain with a dead blog passes equity poorly and sends zero traffic.

Directional, but the spread is wide enough to act on.

Set your minimum filter on page-level organic traffic, not domain DR — DR is a tiebreaker, not a gate.
