How do I rewrite a weak product page that won't rank?
'Q: My product page has the manufacturer blurb and three reviews. It ranks nowhere. What do I add, in order?'
Short answer: Replace boilerplate with buyer-intent content — unique description, specs table, FAQs, and visible reviews — in that priority.
The longer version: Rebuild top-down.
— Rewrite the description in your own words, leading with who it's for and the problem it solves (150–250 words beats a copied paragraph).
— Add a structured specs table; people search exact attributes ('size', 'weight', 'compatibility').
— Add 3–5 FAQs answering the real pre-purchase questions ('does it fit X', 'is it machine washable').
— Surface genuine reviews on-page and mark them in aggregateRating schema.
— Add internal links to related and complementary products.
Example: a kitchen-gadget page jumped from page 4 to page 1 after swapping the supplier blurb for a 200-word use-case description plus a specs table and four FAQs.
Rule of thumb: if your product copy matches 50 competitors word-for-word, the page can't win.
