Q: Half my leads got rejected this week. How do I find out why without guessing?
A: Run a triage, not a tantrum. Five passes, in this order:
— Pass 1, the postback: Pull the rejection reason field from the network's postback or report. 'Invalid', 'duplicate', 'test', 'geo mismatch' each point somewhere different.
— Pass 2, dedupe: Sort rejected leads by phone/email hash. If 40% are duplicates, your form is double-firing or a sub-source is replaying leads.
— Pass 3, geo and device: Cross-check claimed geo vs IP geo. Mismatches mean proxy traffic or a broken targeting rule.
— Pass 4, timing: Bunched-up leads at odd hours (3am spikes) usually mean automation, not humans.
— Pass 5, one sub-source at a time: Isolate by sub-ID. Usually one bad sub-source poisons the whole batch.
Then take the cleanest finding to your manager with numbers, not vibes.
Short version: reason field, dedupe, geo, timing, sub-ID — in that order.
