Myth: you must sign the brand's contract as-is
It arrives as a polished PDF, so it feels final. It isn't. A contract is a starting draft, not a take-it-or-leave-it.
Why this matters: brands send a template built to favor them. Editing terms is expected, not rude.
Simple example: their draft says "unlimited revisions." You reply: "I include 2 rounds of revisions; extra rounds are $75 each." That's a normal redline, and most brands accept it.
How to do it kindly: ask for the document in an editable format, or list your changes in a friendly email.
Your move: pick the two terms that worry you most — usage and revisions are common — and propose your version before signing.
