Google rushed eventStatus and eventAttendanceMode into Event markup during the 2020 cancellation wave — and they're now permanent fixtures most event sites still don't populate.
The overlooked value: eventStatus lets you flag EventCancelled, EventPostponed, EventRescheduled, or EventMovedOnline, and eventAttendanceMode distinguishes online, offline, and mixed. Leaving them out means Google can show stale "happening" info for a canceled event — a trust hit you'd never know about.
