Incognito vs your logged-in browser for snippet checks — you're reading a personalized lie

Incognito vs your logged-in browser for snippet checks — you're reading a personalized lie

Spotted a team this morning reporting a 'win' that didn't exist outside their own machine.

The trap:

— Logged-in / personalized session: your own visit history can surface a box that the broad index doesn't show most users. False positive.
— Incognito + neutral location: closer to baseline, but still localized to your IP.

The rig we keep hearing teams use — incognito, plus a location override (the &uule= parameter or a VPN to the target geo) to strip personalization. Confirming a snippet from your daily-driver browser is how phantom wins end up in client decks. The box you see and the box they see can be different boxes. Watching this.
