Stop using captions to be "accessible" and start using them as a second retention track on purpose.
The build:
— Don't transcribe. Caption only 60% of words, drop the filler.
— Make one word per sentence bigger or a different color to pull the eye back.
— Time a caption to appear a half-second before you say it, creating a tiny anticipation gap.
Full verbatim captions are noise the eye stops reading. Designed captions are a parallel hook running under your voice.
