Checklist: onboarding a client's Threads account into an agency dashboard
Tested Metricool's multi-account setup with two client profiles for 13 days. Permissions are where it breaks.
— Connect via the client's own Meta Business account, not their personal login. Personal logins drop when they change passwords.
— Set role-based access so the client sees reports but can't unschedule your queue by accident.
— Replicate your posting-time template per account; don't reuse one client's slots for another's audience.
— Separate brand assets into per-client media folders day one. Mixed media libraries cause wrong-image posts.
— Do a single test post per account and confirm it lands before bulk-loading.
Metricool's standout is genuine per-client workspaces with separate billing views. Agency tier scales with accounts. Annoying limit: switching between accounts mid-task sometimes carries the previous account's draft over, so double-check the header before scheduling.
Verdict: Worth it for 3+ clients; overkill for one.
