Tier-two links lift tier-one page value by ~19% — but only above a 4-link threshold
Pointing links at your link-hosting pages (tier two) shows a threshold effect, not a smooth one. Across 720 tier-one placements (directional, small n, 9-month window):
Below ~4 tier-two links, no measurable lift to the tier-one page's passed value. Cross 4-6 tier-two links and the median tier-one page value rises ~19%, plateauing past 10.
This is observational and noisy — tier-two campaigns cluster on already-strong pages.
What it means: scattered single tier-two links do nothing; concentration is the active ingredient.
If you build tier two, commit 5+ links per target page or skip it entirely.
