Single 'best pick' page vs a 10-item listicle — the SERP decides for you
I used to default to listicles because more links = more chances, right? Wrong, mostly.
— 'Best [product] for [use case]' single-winner page → wins when the query is specific and the buyer wants ONE answer. Higher EPC, less choice paralysis.
— 10-item listicle → wins broad 'best X' queries where intent is still fuzzy and people browse.
My single-pick page for a narrow query did 3.8% conversion. The listicle on the broad query did 1.1% but pulled 5x the traffic.
Check the SERP intent before you pick the format. Specific query = single pick. Browse query = list.
Go look at what's already ranking for your target. Match it.
