A: Both can be 'right' because Explorations sample and threshold differently.
— Explorations can apply sampling once you cross the event quota for the date range. Look top-right of the canvas: a green icon = 100% of data, yellow = sampled.
— Explorations also apply thresholding more aggressively than standard reports.

To de-sample: shorten the date range, or remove high-cardinality dimensions like Page path from the breakdown.

Standard reports rarely sample, so for a clean total, trust those; use Explorations for the deep slicing.

TL;DR: Yellow icon = sampled Exploration. Standard reports are the source of truth for totals.
