What are content pillars and how do I pick mine?
Q: "People say I need content pillars. What does that actually mean?"
Short answer: content pillars are 3 to 5 recurring themes you rotate through, so you're never staring at a blank page wondering what to post. Think of them as the channels on your personal TV — each one signals "this is what I'm about."
A strong set mixes proof and personality. For example: tactical how-tos, behind-the-scenes of your work, lessons from mistakes, and one opinion lane. The first three build trust; the opinion lane builds memorability.
Don't overthink the names. Pillars exist to reduce decisions, not to add a planning ritual you'll abandon.
Try this today: list every post idea floating in your head, then group them into 3 buckets. Those buckets are your pillars — name them and you're done.
