The one export-settings preset to save forever

Wrong export softens your footage or balloons the file. Set this once, reuse it.
— Resolution 1080x1920, vertical — never upscale from a smaller source
— Frame rate: match your recording (24/30/60), don't convert
— Bitrate: 15-20 Mbps for talking-head, push to 35-40 Mbps if there's fast motion
— Codec H.264, format MP4 — universal, no platform re-mangles it badly
— Audio AAC 320kbps, loudness around -16 LUFS
— Save it as a named preset so you never re-enter it
Tools: CapCut, Premiere, Resolve all let you save this.
Verdict: higher bitrate is the single cheapest quality win for motion-heavy Shorts. Don't bother above 40 Mbps — platforms recompress anyway. Not for people who 'just hit export' on defaults.
