Audience Expansion vs Lookalike audiences
New to LinkedIn's 'reach more people' options? Two exist, and they're different.
Audience Expansion is a checkbox that quietly adds 'similar' people to whatever audience you built. Handy, but loose, and it can drift off-target without you noticing.
Lookalike audiences are built deliberately from a source you trust, like your customer list, to find new people who resemble them.
Think of Expansion as a stranger tagging along, and a Lookalike as choosing guests who remind you of your favorite customers.
Why it matters: leaving Expansion on by default is how budget leaks to people you never meant to reach.
Next step: turn off Audience Expansion on new campaigns until you've seen how your core audience performs.
