Sending one pitch to many vs. tailoring each one

Sending one pitch to many vs. tailoring each one

When several queries match you in a day, you face a choice: reuse one strong answer for all, or rewrite for each. The right call depends on how alike the questions are.

1. Reuse (templating) — fast. Good when three reporters ask nearly the same thing and your answer fits all three.
2. Tailor — slower, but it wins close calls. A line that names the reporter's exact angle reads as "this person actually read my request."

Think of it like a greeting card. A blank card works in a pinch, but a handwritten line makes it personal.

The smart middle ground: keep a strong reusable core (your credentials, your main point), then add two fresh sentences per pitch that answer that specific question.

Try this today: take one saved answer and add a single sentence that quotes the exact wording of the new query.
