Ahrefs' internal link data lies to you — GSC is the source of truth
Fight me: judging internal links by Ahrefs 'Best by internal links' is a mistake. Ahrefs reports a crawl snapshot; it doesn't know which links Google actually rendered, followed, or counted post-JS. Search Console's Links report shows what Google itself associates as your top linked pages — that's the only graph that matters for ranking.
Use Ahrefs for scale and competitor structure. Use GSC Links to confirm Google sees the same hierarchy you intended.
