Breadcrumb schema vs visible breadcrumbs — you need the right one
Found a site with perfect BreadcrumbList schema and no breadcrumbs on the page. Google ignored it half the time.
— Visible breadcrumbs: real internal links, real crawl paths, real equity passed up the tree. Users actually navigate them.
— Schema markup: gets you the breadcrumb trail in the SERP instead of the ugly URL. Cosmetic but boosts click rate.
The play: I never ship schema-only. Visible HTML breadcrumb first, schema mirrors it exactly, both point at the same canonical path.
Mismatch the two and Google flags it in Search Console. The schema path has to match the visible click path, name for name.
