SOP #49 — Social Account Transfer

Social handles often can't be "sold" — they're transferred or they aren't. Run this before counting them as assets.

1. Confirm the platform's terms allow account transfer. Fail on platforms that forbid it (handle reassignment risk).
2. For Instagram/TikTok: change the email and phone, then enable your own 2FA. Fail if seller keeps recovery access.
3. For Facebook Pages: add yourself as admin, then remove the seller. Fail if you can only be editor.
4. For YouTube: transfer the channel into a Brand Account you control. Fail on personal-account channels.
5. Screenshot follower count and engagement on transfer day as baseline.
6. Hold 10–20% of value in escrow for 30 days against a reclaim attempt. Fail if released at handoff.
