Deciding page length without guessing
"Long-form pages convert better." [DEPENDS] The myth spread from agencies selling word count. The boring truth: length should equal the size of the decision, not a style choice. Size it like this:
— Score the purchase: price, risk, and novelty, each 1-5.
— Total under 6? Short page. The buyer already decided; don't talk them out of it.
— Total 6-10? Medium, lead with proof and specs.
— Total over 10? Long-form earns its length: every section kills one specific fear.
— Now delete any section that doesn't remove an objection or answer a question. Length is a byproduct, never a target.
The nuance the gurus skip: a long page full of filler converts worse than a short honest one. Add words only where doubt lives.
