— Floor the interval at 30s. Below that GAM flags it and demand pulls back.
— Refresh ONLY viewable units: gate on impressionViewable + 50% in-view for 1s.
— Cap at 5-6 refreshes per slot per pageview. Diminishing CPMs after that.
— Pause refresh on inactive tabs (Page Visibility API) — header bidders penalize fake views.
— Key-value tag refreshed impressions so you can audit CPM decay separately.

RPM lift seen: +12-20% session RPM, but refreshed CPMs run 30-50% below first-look.

Pros: free inventory on engaged readers. Cons: policy scrutiny, CPM dilution if uncapped.
