The first-3-seconds checklist I run on every draft
Before I hit post, I scrub frame zero to second 3 and check:
— Is my face or the payoff visible at frame 1, not a black intro?
— Does the on-screen text land within 0.5s, readable in a thumbnail?
— No logo sting, no 'hey guys', no slow zoom-in?
— Does something MOVE in the first second so the autoplay doesn't read as static?
Caught myself failing #4 twice this week, reach was flat both times. Fix today: re-cut your last flop so motion starts at frame 1 and repost as fresh.
