Your first restore drill should happen TODAY, not after the disaster
A backup you've never restored is a rumor. Here's the drill, do it now:
— Spin up a throwaway VPS, nothing touching prod
— Pull your newest backup, not the one from setup day
— Restore DB and files, then load the homepage and one logged-in page
— Time it. Write the number down. That's your real recovery time
— Diff the restored DB row count against prod
If you can't do all five in one sitting, you don't own a backup system, you own anxiety with a cron job. Change my mind.
