Playbook: add structured data without breaking rich results
Generating JSON-LD is easy; not getting it ignored is the work:
— Start with one type per template (Article, Product, FAQ) — don't stack five
— Every property in the markup must be visible on the page, or Google drops it
— Validate in the Rich Results Test, not just the Schema validator — they disagree
— Roll out to 10 URLs, wait a week, check Search Console enhancement reports before scaling
Schema App
👍 dynamic templating, connects entities, handles edge cases
👎 $30/mo+, overkill for a 50-page site
RankMath (free)
👍 built into WordPress, 20+ schema types, zero cost
👎 WP-only, generic output, no entity graph
Verdict: RankMath for a WP blog, Schema App if entities and scale matter.
Best for: WordPress sites chasing FAQ and review snippets.
