Carousel vs plain text: when each actually wins
Everyone says: "Document carousels get 3x the reach, always lead with them."
The claim: the PDF carousel is the cheat code for the algorithm.
What's actually true: carousels buy dwell time, not reach. They win when your idea needs sequence — a 7-step process, a before/after, a framework. They lose hard for opinions and hot takes, because the swipe friction kills the share, and shares are what travel.
Use a carousel to teach. Use plain text to provoke. Mixing them up is why your "viral format" flopped — you put a single one-line thought across nine slides nobody swiped.
The format isn't reach. It's a container, and you keep pouring the wrong liquid into it.
