QA-ing your funnel only on desktop, then losing every mobile FTD
Affiliates test the link, see the broker page load, and call it live. The mistake: validating registration on desktop while most forex traffic and a growing share of deposits happen in-app on mobile.
Where it silently breaks:
— The broker's mobile deposit flow drops your click ID on an app handoff (web-to-app deep link strips the query string), so the FTD is never attributed to you.
— A payment method available on desktop is missing in the mobile webview for that GEO, so leads register but can't fund.
The fix:
— QA the full path to a real test deposit on actual mobile devices per top GEO, not just the landing page render.
— Confirm the click ID survives every handoff: web page, app-store redirect, in-app browser, deposit screen. Inspect the parameters at each step.
— Re-test after any broker funnel update; their app releases break attribution far more often than their web pages.
Who should skip this: desktop-only verticals (rare in retail forex now) — but even prop-firm traffic skews mobile.
Verdict: Test the mobile deposit end-to-end.
