You can't remember which pitches worked
Beginners fire off replies and never write down what they sent. So they repeat weak approaches and can't tell what's actually landing.
Think of it like fishing all day without noticing which bait got the bites.
1. Keep one simple sheet: date, outlet, query topic, did it get used.
2. After a few weeks, look for patterns — which topics, lengths, or angles convert.
3. Do more of what worked; quietly drop what never does.
You don't need fancy software. A free spreadsheet beats memory every time, and the patterns it reveals are worth more than any single pitch.
Try this today: Make a 4-column tracking sheet right now. Log your next reply. In a month you'll have real data, not guesses.
