Publer vs Buffer for Threads media posts
Text is easy, media is where schedulers break. Tested image and video posts on both for 12 days.
Publer
— Pros: built-in image editor, watermarks, handles video to Threads cleanly, alt-text field
— Cons: occasional re-compression softens images
Buffer
— Pros: simple, reliable single images, good preview
— Cons: no editor, video to Threads sometimes fails the API silently, no alt-text on Threads yet
Verdict: Publer for any media-heavy Threads account (Worth it, $12/mo). Buffer fine for text-plus-one-image (Worth it at $6). Annoying limitation: the Threads API still rejects videos over its size ceiling without a clear error, so both tools just show 'failed' and you debug blind.
