Postiz vs Mixpost for self-hosted Threads scheduling
For the own-your-stack crowd. I deployed both for a week.
Postiz
— Pros: modern UI, AI built in, active dev, Docker deploy in minutes
— Cons: Threads connector occasionally needs reauth, smaller community for troubleshooting
Mixpost
— Pros: rock-solid Laravel base, one-time license (no SaaS fee), reliable queue
— Cons: Threads support added later, UI dated, you maintain the server
Verdict: Postiz if you want SaaS feel without the SaaS bill (Worth it). Mixpost if you value stability over polish (Worth it). Annoying limitation: self-hosting means you also own Threads' OAuth token refreshes, which break quietly and need a cron babysitter.
