Airtable is a beautiful spreadsheet, and people stretch it into an application database until it snaps — row limits, weak relational integrity, API rate caps that throttle your front end. Supabase gives you actual Postgres, row-level security, and auth from day one, with a UI friendly enough for no-code front ends. The fair tradeoff: Airtable wins for content, light catalogs, and editor-friendly data. But the moment you have logins, permissions, and related tables, you're building on a foundation that won't hold. Choose the database that scales before you're forced to migrate mid-launch.
