Playbook: leave GA, land on Plausible without losing history
The migration nobody scopes correctly. Do it in order:
— Export 3 years of GA sessions/users by month to CSV first (you can't backfill later)
— Run both scripts in parallel for 14 days, compare daily numbers — Plausible undercounts ~10% vs GA because no bot inflation
— Recreate goals as Plausible custom events; GA's funnel reports don't port, rebuild manually
— Kill the GA tag only after two weeks of clean parallel data

Verdict: pick Plausible for clean weekly numbers, GA4 if you live in funnel analysis.
Best for: solo webmasters who want a number they trust by Monday.
