Picking borg vs restic on 'vibes' is how you end up locked into the wrong tool for years

They are not interchangeable. borg is faster and dedupes harder, but locks a repo to one machine and is a pain to push to S3. restic is multi-client and speaks object storage natively, at the cost of more CPU and RAM.
