Geo Pulse #62 — Sending at your timezone, not theirs
Theme: GEO timing mistakes in push/email/retargeting.
→ Blasting all GEOs at one server-clock time. 9am EST is 3pm in Berlin and 2am in Jakarta. Same campaign, wildly different open rates. Fix: schedule by the recipient's local timezone, not a single global send.
→ Ignoring local weekends. The work week is Sun-Thu in much of the Gulf (UAE, Saudi). Your 'Monday' campaign lands on their weekend.
→ Local peak hours differ. Commute, prayer times, and meal times reshape engagement windows per GEO. One global 'best time' is a myth.
→ Watch DST drift. The US, EU, and Australia change clocks on different dates; a hardcoded offset silently breaks twice a year. Source: any ESP that offers send-time optimization by timezone — read why they built it.
