Long-form vs short advertorial: read length is a temperature gauge
Trench note: long copy isn't 'better', it's for a colder reader.
Long advertorial (2000+ words, full story arc) does heavy lifting on ice-cold native — you've got to build the problem, the villain, the mechanism, the proof before they'll click out. Colder the source, longer the warm-up.
Short advertorial (300-600, punchy) works when traffic arrives semi-aware — search, retargeting, in-market. Over-explaining to a warm reader just adds friction and bounce points.
— Taboola/Outbrain cold curiosity click → go long, earn the sale on the page
— Search/retarget, already aware → short, get to the offer
— Push traffic → short-medium, attention's thin
Go test it.
