SOP 52: Live Screen-Share vs. Exported Reports — Verifying Accounts
Exports can be doctored in two minutes. Screen-shares cannot. Match method to stakes.
— Accept exported PDFs/CSVs only for low-stakes early screening, to decide whether the deal is worth pursuing at all.
— Demand live screen-share (recorded, with your call) before any wire for: analytics, ad-network dashboards, affiliate accounts, and email-list provider stats. Make the seller log in live and navigate where you direct — not a pre-loaded tab.
— During screen-share, ask the seller to: change the date range live, drill into one revenue source, and open the account settings showing the verified owner email. Doctored data breaks when you change the range.
— Hard rule: if a seller resists a live screen-share of revenue, treat the numbers as unverified and price the deal as if revenue is zero.
Pass criterion: every income and traffic claim witnessed live, date-range manipulated by you.
Save this — run it every deal.
