The AI descriptions that quietly flattened her reach
A travel creator started generating all her pin descriptions with AI to save time — fast, grammatical, done in seconds. Output went up, but over two months her search impressions softly declined.
The issue: every description came out generically similar, padded with adjectives, and light on the actual phrases people search. She went back to a hybrid — AI for a rough draft, then she manually front-loaded the real keyword and a specific detail only she'd know ("the free viewpoint locals use in Lisbon").
Those hand-finished descriptions recovered and beat the pure-AI ones by ~40% in search impressions.
Takeaway: AI is a fine first draft for descriptions but a poor final one — it smooths out the specific searchable phrases that actually rank you.
