Q: Why are my best affiliates quietly leaving?
Nine times out of ten it's payment friction. Net-60 terms, a high payout threshold, or missing an invoice once teaches a partner you're unreliable — and the good ones have ten other programs that pay on time.
Fix the money flow first:
— Tighten terms toward net-30 or net-15 as you can afford it. Faster payment is a recruiting advantage you rarely advertise.
— Lower the minimum payout threshold; a $100 floor strands small partners who'd grow if they ever got paid.
— Pay on a fixed, predictable date. "Around the end of the month" reads as "whenever we feel like it."
— Offer more than one method (bank, PayPal, etc.) — payment rails kill more partnerships than people admit.
Caveat: protect against fraud with your lock window, not by delaying everyone's legit money. Punishing all partners for a few bad actors is how you lose the good ones.
