AI hook generator vs writing your own for Threads
A/B tested 20 posts: half with a tool's hook, half mine, same account, 2 weeks.
AI hooks (Publer AI, Taplio-style)
— Pros: fast, breaks writer's block, decent for volume accounts
— Cons: pattern-matches to viral X formats Threads users are tired of; my AI-hook posts underperformed ~30% on saves
Manual
— Pros: matches your voice, lands the niche references a model misses
— Cons: slow, you'll stall some days
Verdict: AI for first drafts only (Wait on shipping them raw). Manual for anything you want shared (Worth it). Annoying limitation: every AI writer defaults to the 'Unpopular opinion:' template, and Threads' algo no longer rewards it.
